Read and Reflect Silhouettes

Silhouettes give a more dramatic and mysterious look by making the subject look lonely or peaceful.  The most important thing for a silhouette is to expose the background and have a brighter background. This makes you look like a shadow to the camera. This means the best time to take silhouettes is in the morning or after noon. Overall this is a cool way to take pictures but sometimes pictures can be a bit tricky

National Geographic 811

I like this one because they caught a moment in action with the boat up in the back and the water splashed around it.

I like this one because of the mountains and how you could see them in the far back with all the colors and I also like the people right there just looking at the mountains and it seems they’re just admiring the view.

National Geographic 1251

I like this one because the gorilla was caught in the moment with showing emotion. His emotion shows he’s either scared or just into eating the leaf.

FILL FLASH OUTSIDE

Article:

Flash is used to illuminate the subject. With fill flash the unwanted shadows and dark circles under your eyes can be out of the picture. When you’re using fill flash you should keep things natural. When using fill flash outside you should have them facing to when the sun is behind them.
